Good neapolitan pizza style pizza. In our 49 days in Kansas, my group probably had close to 10 different pizzas from here. Very consistent flavor and everything tastes great. Slices are large and filling, but it is hard to stop eating. Give this place a try for your quick pizza fix.

Stopped by for lunch. Felt like Matzo Ball soup and it was perfect. Broth tasted homemade and not overly salty. Full of chicken, noodles, carrots and onions. The ball was cooked perfectly. Just wish it had two balls instead of the one since it was so darn good!

I had the chicken noodle soup and a side salad which were both great. Hubby had a calzone which was excellent - they warned us it takes 20 minutes to make but it was worth it! Finished off with amazing cheesecake and cookies, all made in house, impressive! Staff is friendly and keeps tables clean.

D'bronx offers a made to order pizza at a reasonable price in a New York style deli, but comes up short on taste and texture. Of course, this means vegetarian options are definitely available! I ordered a 16" large cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes. During the lunch hour, pizza by the slice looks like a great, quick option, but I was eating with two friends, so the whole pizza made sense. They made it to order, which was great, and took about 30 minutes total. In the meantime, I tried the coleslaw, which was refreshing and not runny, but was also very plain. The pizza itself didn't have a great sauce and cheese distribution. I really enjoyed the tomatoes on top. I'm not a huge fan of crust to begin with, but the crust at d'Bronx was satisfying enough. The taste and texture of the pizza itself was alright. D'bronx just didn't impress and didn't disappoint. Here's what I mean: with one slice of pizza remaining, there was strong table debate as to whether or not we should box it up to go, just eat it there, or leave it entirely. It's just pizza - not fancy pizza, not hole-in-the-wall pizza, not unique pizza, not terrible pizza, not frozen pizza. It's just pizza. Overall, d'Bronx is a nice spot for eating with friends that offers good, not great, pizza.

Disclaimed: I've only been to this place once. I went to D'Bronx for a weekday luncheon. I had the Angus Steak Sandwich with a side of pasta salad. It was f***ing delicious. The sandwich was simple, but good, and the pasta salad was phenomenal. Seriously, its chunky/cheesy pasta salad that is orgasmic. Also, it was all for around $10. I ordered the roast turkey signature sandwich with chips and a drink at the counter for a total of $11.39. My order was delivered to my table in about six minutes. The sandwich had plenty of somewhat tasty turkey with fresh veggies, tasty honey mustard, and delicious, perfectly toasted bread. The service was acceptable, the interior was clean and nicely done, and there was pleasant music. The food was good, but the price was high for lunch with no combos and no specials.

Who loves D'Bronx pizza? Everyone who likes pizza! This stuff is so delicious and worth the price. I have ordered here a few times for carryout when hosting an event down the street, and when I tell my people we are having D'Bronx, they begin salivating immediately. When I call in my order, the employees are coherent, clear, and professional. I like that there is a separate entrance for carryout at this location. I get lots of fresh parmesan and red peppers, along with plates and napkins, so I save money and shopping by carrying out here. Definitely will return, and I hope to come and try a sandwich sometime, as I hear they are also delicious.

How many ways can you say "mediocre"? d'Bronx looks like it may have enjoyed some point in time where their food was great, as the five year old Zagat plaques attest. Today? It seems like they're just going through the motions. My eggplant parm was slapped together with marinara so sugary it should have been on the dessert menu and cheese clumped to one side of the sandwich. Not a destination. Just a place to get full.

I always meant to try this place and I finally got to dine-in last night. I didn't really know what to get so I got the whole d'bronx special pizza to share with my family. The pizza didn't take too long to come out. It was about 20 minutes, which was great because we were starving! The staff members were all really nice and the place was pretty clean too. Also I liked the atmosphere of the place. Okay, now about the pizza. The cheese was nice and chewy. I loved how the cheese would stretch out as I took a slice out from the whole pizza. The flavor was great, nothing too overpowering. All the meat and vegetables created a great mix of flavors and the size of the pizza was another HUGE plus. Also it wasn't too greasy,which I really liked. However the d'bronx special pizza whole is about 26$ +tax (i think) so keep the price in mind! All in all it was a great experience for my tongue, so I would definitely recommend this place.

There were many signs that I shouldn't have had dinner here, but a positive nostalgic experience 4 years ago with my dad made me think that dinner would be a good idea. There were many signs that we should've eaten elsewhere, for one the girl who rang us up was in the biggest rush to clear the line and was not very pleasant. She was sure to let us know that a calzone would be a 30 minute wait (which was fine, if they hadn't excluded all the meat from my boyfriends calzone) Strike 1. Strike 2 was when we saw people who were seated before us get up and leave, that should've been another sign. Strike 3 was honestly the food and the hour wait for the mediocrity. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich and wasn't pleased, although the amount of vegetables was delightful the balsamic and sesame seed bun was not pleasing, and the forgetfulness of the toppings for the calzone was a big letdown. By the end we were saying how we wished we had gone elsewhere, and how the food/experience was simply, "Meh."

I stopped and ordered a soda and sandwich to go. The service behind the cash register was excellent. He made me feel welcomed not rushed and offered suggestions for side dishes. I ordered the d'Bronx special sub it took about five minutes for the sandwich to be made to my order but at the middle of their lunch rush I felt this was a quick turnaround. The sub was very fresh and not over soaked with dressing. A great overall experience.

There is no such thing as an Israeli salad. Call it what it literally is: a Palestinian or pan-Arab salad. The food is good, but I can't get myself to eat at places that are wildly erroneous. Via wikipedia: "The origins of the Israeli salad are traced by Gil Hovav, Israeli food editor and chef, to a Palestinian and Arab salad. He states that, "this salad that we call an Israeli Salad, actually it's an Arab salad, Palestinian salad...."[8] The idea that what is known in New York delis as "Israeli salad" is actually "Palestinian rural salad" is also agreed on by Joseph Massad, a Palestinian professor of Arab Politics at Columbia University, as one example of the adoption of Palestinian and pan-Syrian foods by Israel."

This was the first time I had ever eaten at d'Bronx but it was right next door to my training so I figured, what the hay. I agree with a previous reviewers who said the service was not friendly. Since this has been mentioned several other people and it doesn't appear like they are making an effort to improve things, you get -2 stars from me. Also, although the Hot Wild Bill (Genoa salami with melted provolone over cole slaw on an onion roll) was interesting and tasty, it was also a bit expensive for the size at $6.49. That costs you another star.

We're new to the area and wasn't sure where to eat. We are so glad we tried this place. The pizza was excellent (judged by our 10 year old daughter). My turkey sandwich was really good. My husband loved the roast beef sandwich. He's from the East Coast and thought this place was as good as the delis there. We loved it!

Stick to the pizza. I grew up in New York and love a good Reuben sandwich so I decided to give it a shot. The Rye bread was stale, grilled and burnt. There was at most, 6 strands of sauerkraut. The corned beef was like chewing on rubber bands. They should have called it the Rub-burn. For 8.25 I would have expected better quality and it didn't even come with a pickle! I have learned my lesson. Their pizza is by far the best item on their menu. (This was at the Crown Center location, not at the Overland Park location)

I went to Table Top and I asked them what was a good place to get dinner. The guy at the counter gave me a list and I chose this place. I figured I'd try a little local color rather than settle for Subway. Service was good but not super fast. I ordered a Reuben because I wanted to try something classic yet new to me. It was quite tasty and if the meat had been juicier I might have given 5 stars. All in all not a bad place for a sandwich. I might have to try a calzone next time.

Met an old friend here for lunch last month. Perfectly done, New York style pizza. I absolutely loved the crust and sauce. Quick and inexpensive. No frills dining room... no table service but they do offer dine in as an option. My only complaint.... I ordered garlic on my slice of pizza and it was completely raw. I don't know if that's the norm, but where I come from, we either roast or sauté the garlic... if you didn't know it already, apparently eating a lot of raw garlic can make you really sick. I didn't know this, because I've never eaten it raw before!!! But it seriously dampened my reunion. About twenty minutes after eating, I was really uncomfortable. ... sweaty, nauseous, etc. It wasn't as severe as food poisoning at all but it was enough that I had to leave unexpectedly. What a bummer...

I've driven by d'Bronx on Metcalf countless times and have been meaning to check it out for a long time. Finally, after taking in an afternoon movie at the near Town Center area, we decided a trip to d'Bronx was in order. It was around dinner time on a Sunday evening, and there was a light dinner crowd there, along with a few people picking up takeout orders. There were many different sandwich options, but we were set on pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage, and sat down to wait for our food. The pizza only took about 15 minutes and was indeed "large" and fantastic. Positives: -One of the only places where you can NY-style pizza in KC. Definitely my favorite style of pie, I've been looking for good places ever since visiting NYC. -Pretty affordable - I think it was $20 total for a huge pizza and a drink. The two of us only managed to eat half of it, and had plenty of leftovers. Negatives: -Wish there were a few more options for specialty pizzas, but again, that probably doesn't fit with the NY-style pizza. -I don't believe they deliver - you'll need to visit to eat-in or take out. Very happy to find some solid NY-style pizza in KC, will be back to try some sandwiches, and want to check out some of the locations.

Great New York style pizza. I grew up on the east coast in NJ and this is the closest to the pizza I know from home. The staff is super friendly and all the food I have had has been great. Now, you may read reviews where people say the atmosphere isn't the same as the Bell location. That is true. However, the food is just as good and there is more room if your bringing in a large group.

YUM! Delicious NY style pizza, yummy soups, fresh salads......fabulous! This place is very busy, with the line extending out the door at lunch time. And for good reason! They have lots of seating, some small tables and some long tables for large groups or just getting to know your neighbor. Their prices can be a little steep, but the food is wonderful so you don't mind quite so much. My only complaint was that the service was pretty slow.....we sat down with our number, and saw everyone else getting their food who came after us while we were still waiting....they had actually forgotten about us! We got a sincere apology, but trying to keep a 3 yr old entertained while waiting on her food is a challenge, and left us less than 100% satisfied. But hopefully that was a one time thing, and the next time will be great.

You'll keep coming back to d'Bronx time after time to enjoy their east-coast inspired sandwiches and pizza. There are plenty of great options on their menu to make your mouth water. Tucked into the corner of an otherwise plain strip mall near 103rd and Metcalf, this d'Bronx location bustles with JOCO patrons both at lunch and in the evening. Carryout is another popular option here. It's worth the time to wait for one of their hand-crafted pizzas or calzones, though the ricotta cheese is a bit much inside the calzone - next time I'll order it without. Sandwiches are artfully prepared with fresh meats and cheeses and bear unusual names like the "Bell Street Bomb," "376th", and "Hot Wild Bill." The star of the menu, however, is the chicken noodle soup. You increase your chance of falling in love by adding a homemade matzo ball to the mix. Growing up eating my grandmother's matzo ball soup, I'm picky about their preparation, texture, and flavor. Outside of a traditional Jewish deli or New York eatery, d'Bronx's matzo balls are the best around. Don't pass this up to complement your pizza, sandwich, or other pasta entree. d'Bronx is one of the best deli options around whether you are dining off 39th, at Crown Center, or at this location on Metcalf. Find your inner NYC today.

My wife and I tried D'Bronx a few years ago, gave it at least two opportunities, and decided we didn't like their food. My co-workers decided to order from them for a lunch-n-learn today, so I grudgingly agreed to give them another shot. I thought that maybe a few years had changed them or me. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiano sandwich and pasta salad. I can say that time has not improved the taste of the food. While the pasta salad was good (but what was the lump of meat at the bottom about?), the chicken sandwich left a lot to be desired. The hoagie roll was tough, the tomato sauce was bland, and the chicken was rolled up in some sort of log so you either got a mouthful of roll or of chicken, but not both at the same time. Although the portion sizes were generous for the price, the taste just wasn't there for me. Maybe I'll try again in 3 years...

One of my favorite pizza joints in KC! My mom is a pizza fanatic, so we usually stop by here when she comes to visit. We usually split a side salad (yes, side). It's pretty big for being a side. I always get a slice of cheese pizza with ricotta & sausage. Their sausage is very fine crumbles and cover the entire pizza. And I like to add big globs of ricotta cheese to give it a little extra. You can add any topping to any of their slices. Their slices are just the right size. Not too big you can't finish, but not too small where you're left hungry. I've never had any of their sandwiches or sides, but they have some displayed in their window where you order. It all looks delicious but I have to get the pizza when I'm there. Sometimes I like to get a cookie or a slice of cake (red velvet is amazing). You wouldn't think a pizza joint has great baked goods, but they do. A great spot for lunch or grab a pizza to go!

We love d'Bronx on Bell. Having said that. We have been to this location twice. While we like the food, on each visit our order has been made incorrectly. Either items left off the pizza, or mistaken..ie:green peppers instead of what I ordered..green olives. The order, this time was taken properly but the cooks put on the wrong thing. I chose to NOT have them remake it as we did not have the time to wait. One more chance and we are back to the one on Bell.

Not quite NY style pizza as the crust is too thick to be considered NY pie. But I did enjoy my sliced meatball, roasted red pepper and ricotta cheese pie. The star of our meal was the potato latke-very tasty just like mom used to make. The line was to the door and only one cash register was used...why not open the second one to speed up the process??

I remember why I stopped coming to this location. In thinking about why I put the 105th and Metcalf location in my mental blacklist, I thought it was because I wasn't around that area enough to consider visiting it. Maybe it was the crazy parking lot layout? Perhaps, it was the occasional long lines at the checkout counter? On this particular visit, I called in my order so that I could simply walk into the conveniently placed carryout door, pay and dash. I was given a little bit of attitude when I called in my order but by the time I arrived, I had forgotten all about it. Actually, the couple parked in the carryout space next to mine probably helped me forget about it: they had their lunch spread out on the dash of their Dodge minivan as if they were on a picnic. At that point, why not just eat inside? Back to D'Bronx. I went inside and there were no other customers ahead of me, yet I had to wait to get service. When I did, the greeting was not, "How can I help you?" or "Picking up an order?" No, instead it was "Yeah?" I'm not a stickler for such things normally, but that added to her flicking my receipt across the counter at me and walking off without telling me if I was to sign it or not pissed me off. Oh, and there was that thing about my sandwich order not having been entered in yet. So, despite me calling it in, they had to make my food from scratch and I had to wait for it anyway. "THAT'S why I didn't come back here!" Besides the shit greeting I got and the longer than expected wait, the heavies in the minivan gave me a good show and my sandwich was really tasty. Not tasty enough for me to go back to that location anytime soon however. At least, until I forget why I stopped going there again.

Went there for lunch and ordered a pastrami on rye with mustard and potato salad. Server brought me a pizza. Wrong table? Then she brought me a pastrami with melted cheese. Wrong table again? Then she brought me a pasta salad. What's going on here? I gave her my receipt so she would know what to bring me. That solved it. Pastrami was pretty decent but the rye bread was way too soft. Think wonder bread soft. It's not really the Bronx. If I ever brought my father there (he grew up in the Bronx), I shudder to think what he'd say.

Handcrafted pizza goodness! A can't miss..... Bring your best appetite and highest expectations. You'll have a short wait (20 minutes or so), but what would you expect from a pizza made from scratch with the best of ingredients and a little TLC from the kitchen! Sandwiches are good too.... I have reviewed the original D'Bronx on Bell, so this review is mainly about the location and not the food as the food was awesome as always. This place didn't have the same hip vibe I have come to expect from the Bell location, but it is in Overland Park and you can tell more geared to the higher end family dining experience. It was definitely group and family friendly and the staff welcoming and accommodating as always. I will say I would probably feel more comfortable taking my kids here than the Bell location, mainly because the layout and furnishings lend better to little ones. Now don't get me wrong, both locations are kid friendly, but this locale given it's location in the burbs is a bit more roomy than the cozier digs. Oh, and the pizza was amazing as usual. ;-)

This is a satellite of the main location near 39th and State Line, and no, it's not the same. It doesn't have the same vibe, it's a bit sterile feeling inside and the menu is a somewhat abbreviated from the original location. But I can't always make it to the original location, so I'm really happy that they have added a couple of locations to bring their deliciousness to a wider audience. Their pizzas are fabulous. I used this location about a year ago to order pizzas for a work function and they delivered on time and each one of the pizzas was scrumptious and piping hot. But I do love D'Bronx's subs and I think this is where they really shine. My all-time favorite sandwich is the pastrami and swiss sub. It's perfection on a bun. It really is. Weeknights are a great time to come because they're not as busy. Lunchtime is always crazy here, but no matter when you come, they're pretty fast at delivering your food to your table.

I don't know... I got the calzone with green olives,meatballs and mushrooms and granted it is big, but also disappointing. For me anyway. If soggy lasagna stuffed crust is what your are into, then you are in luck. The menu says it has ricotta, but I didn't expect it to be MOSTLY ricotta. I'm known to stray from an old favorite just to try something new. I'm also known to be grouchy after the food comes and I'm stuck with the worst dish at the table. The Reuban is what you want if you are in the mood for a sandwich. I still really like the pizza (got one slice of D'bronx Special). The carrot cake has raisins and nuts, but was just like every other manufactured carrot cake in town.

I used to really like D'Bronx. Have eaten at both of their locations 100s of times. The OP location will never live up to the midtown location so I'll judge it on service instead. I ordered a sandwich and a drink. I was brought pizza, pasta and salad multiple times by different food runners. I kept telling them I only ordered a sandwich and wished I'd gotten the stupid thing to go. I might have just been in a mood that day or they might have had an off day. I'll go back to the midtown location where they just scream out your number and if you're too stupid not to respond it's on you.

Have not had d'Bronx in a while and decided on take-out tonight. So good. This is one of the only pizza places to get the Canadian bacon with pineapple topping. So good. One thing, the crust has changed and it's not as bubbly. That's all. I could have sworn that the pizza used to be bubbly and light and tasty. I could be romanticising that though.

This place is as wonderful as the original, with a little less atmosphere pinache. The food is rocking. The reuben is my favorite, have had this at the other locations too....still as good. The Angus steak sanwich is good but let me give you a tip... Order the olive salad, and use it as a condiment on that sandwich. A pseudo mouffaletta! The olive salad is also tasty on its own. The potato latkes were very flavorful..sold individually...you may need more than one!

Whenever one of my favorite downtown/midtown places moves out to Johnson County I'm cautiously optimistic. Most of the time it doesn't live up to the original (i.e. JP's Wine Bar, Avenues Bistro). I think that one of the things I love the most is that they are downtown/midtown and not located in your typical suburban strip mall. But I always get sucked in because it is more convenient to hit the new location by home. D'Bronx is one example that actually works! It certainly doesn't have the personality or charm of the one on 39th. 39th has more Sharpie on the walls than brick, where Metcalf is in pristine condition. I guess Johnson County has an ordinance against personal expression. Perhaps a citation would be issued for graffiti. What D'Bronx does have is some of the best pizza in KC. Pretty damn close to the pizza you get in the Big Apple. The kind of big, wide slices that require you to fold in half and eat like a taco. Really good stuff. Their sandwiches are good too, but I get pizza about every time I go there. You can get slices pretty quick, but if you want a whole pie it can take up to 40 minutes. They also have the pizzas that are about the same size as your dining room table. Overall a great place for lunch. Good food, prices are reasonable, and you can get in and out pretty quickly.

I used to eat at the original location when I lived in Kansas City in the late 90's and was excited to see that there was a location near where I recently moved to. No, the atmosphere is not the same, but it does have it's own atmosphere that I enjoy. The food is just as good as I remember it. The glass show case always shows their salad and desserts which I love! The people who work there are always kind and helpful and the service is also timely. I recently order 5 different pizzas to be pick up to take to a night class. They were waiting for me when I got there, someone insisted on carrying them to the car for me, and everyone LOVED the pizzas.

Went there for lunch today, had great service. Food was good! The lady that took our order was very friendly and welcoming. There was a mix up and they gave our order to another table so after already waiting once for our food we had to wait again, but they refunded our money and brought us each a salad while we waited, so I feel like they handled the situation the best the could and I still left very happy with the service.

Lame unfriendly service. Not busy, but the kitchen had at least 5 people in view and it still took a long time to get a to go order of slices, not whole pie. So I thought maybe it was freshly made then cut. But when I got home discovered they first left off all the toppings I asked for. I got plain cheese. and it tasted old and reheated. also very greasy. I love thin crust, but I.seriously would have been happier with a frozen pizza. finally, the side ceasar salad was bad. I have been in the area on.business trip and good, but a little too small. Fortunately the other restaurants recommendations my friend made were excellent, otherwise I'd never trust her advice again! I will Not be back and do not recommend.

d'Bronx in Kansas City. Why? What's the connection? The d'Bronx website is very basic with locations and menus, but no background information. Did the owner grow up there? Never mind, I'll play along. My first impression was "Wow, this is not what you'd expect from the drab strip mall exterior!". Framed collages merging NYC and pizza images adorn the walls. There's an open kitchen and the employees are nicely dressed with black polo shirts. The ordering system goes like this: walk in and start studying the menu board, place your order with a cashier, they bring the food to your table. This works fine EXCEPT there's no placard to place at your table so a poor employee goes around the restaurant asking everyone what their receipt number is. There has to be a better way. My love and I ordered a Large 16" pizza and a slice of d'Bronx cheesecake. Heed this advice: a 16" pizza is MUCH larger than you picture in your head. The pizza was very good, not great, not bad...very good. Not overly greasy with a thin crispy crust. We have leftovers for another meal. The cheesecake is AMAZING! It's exactly how NY style cheesecake should be and a steal at $3.25. If you are a connoisseur go now!

Recently moved to the area and was looking for some good pizza. Raised up north I think I know about decent pizza and this is the best NY style pizza in the area. Black and white cookie was pretty good too :)

Sorry, but they totally missed the mark tonight. Burnt pizza does not make a good meal. We ordered a 16 inch pizza and a calzone. The calzone was burnt/black (really) on the bottom and I wish the pizza looked as good as the pictures. It also lacked flavor, like there was an ingredient missing in the dough. We won't be back here for a while. There are other pizza places that are more consistent.

It doesn't have the charm or the crustiness of the original on Bell but the food is still good. Speaking from experience, if you are going for lunch during the week, go early or late. It is PACKED during the lunch rush. Also, some of the servers aren't super observant. You may have to stand up, yell "here" and do a dance to get their attention. I highly recommend the Wild Bill. It's salami, cole slaw, provolone melted together on an onion bun. The Wild Bill is dance worthy.

I love a good sandwich! And I love D'Bronx. I have no idea if this is a national or a regional chain (I typically don't review chain restaurants), but I do know that D'Bronx has a handful of stores in the KC area. But you know what? I don't care. My sandwich and sides made me happy that this place could be located in a sketchy basement, and I'd still walk away with a smile. On the stellar advice from my mother-in-law, I picked up carryout from D'Bronx the other night (which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I'll throw a fifth one it's way after I dine in). I picked up the Bell Street Bomb and a couple of sides. I also didn't hesitate to grab a slice of cheese cake... From there, my night was over. I filled myself with a tasty, sizeable sandwich, and topped it off with a delicious (albeit unnecessary) piece of cheese cake. The food was good, and I'm looking forward to giving it another shot when I'm back in town.

We were staying the weekend at a hotel in the area and passed this as we were heading back to the hotel and thought why the hell not try it out? Well, little did we know that they closed at 10 pm on a Saturday night and we arrived around 9:15pm. It was all good. They still worked with us. It was nice and chill and there were a few other patrons as well. So many choices, so little time. We ended up ordering d'bronx special, which contains pepperoni, italian sausage, meatball, canadian bacon, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and black olives. It takes 20 minutes for a pie, but it is so worth it. The potato salad is good and I also suggest the Healthy Veggie Sandwich: hummus, lettuce, cucumber, carrot, and sprouts on a wheat roll. Can not wait to go back to try more!

ordered pizza from there a few times and regardless of the toppings we choose, we know it will always be delicious. I usually call in my order and by the time I drive down there, it's waiting for me. their sandwiches are also great! even though I like their location on 39th a little better, it's great to have this nearby for when I want good pizza. last time we ordered was upon return from a long weekend in NYC. it was definitely better than the pizza we had there, but that also might have something to do with the fact that my husband took me to the place near where he used to work. their specialty was pesto chicken, which was basically cut up chicken strips with a pesto seasoning on a tomato base. even so, I never have to worry about strange random toppings at d'Bronx. everything there is good!

I was very excited a few years ago when I learned d'Bronx was opening a location closer to me. What I don't understand is why they didn't try harder to bring more of the atmosphere from the 39th street location out south. The food may be the same but the experience isn't.

As a former New Yorker, I know the difference between a pretend deli and a real deli. d' Bronx is the real thing. This is real New York deli food at reasonable prices. It's a nice place to eat and the staff is friendly.

Great New York style pizza. The flat crust is awesome. Every time I visit the staff is awesomely friendly. I haven't had anything but the pizza. Price is decent for the quality of the pizza. Can't wait to go back.

I love their pizza! Haven't tried much more than that. Giving them a 4 instead of a 5 only because some of their employees can have really poor attitudes. I'm sure their not in love with their job but it can't be that bad.

Always good, but nothing special. I dig the ambiance of the room- open space with the kitchen in the middle. Pretty cool. I need to visit it a couple more times and order different things. My guess is I will like it more and more.

We had the calzones. They were ok, sauce was a lilttle bland. If you get anchovies in it it will be fairly salty. Cole slaw was good, Mediterranean artichoke salad was better.

I used too love this pizza, but now it's really ho-hum generic. I love pizza and if I could I would eat it all the time. D'bronx has a great reputation although I'm not sure if this location is going to be good anymore. From my research and asking around people from New York seem to think this pizza is nothing like the pizza they have. The New Yorkers(the ones i have spoken with) always say the pizza should easily be foldable and should not be to stiff. If you were to hold it with one hand the pizza should basically flop over. D'bronx pizza does not. In fact, the crust is usually pretty sturdy like a hand tossed pizza from papa johns. Italian Delight and Original Pizza are usually brought up when people from the north east talk about pizza. The sauce is good here as well as the cheese and rest of the toppings. The pizza is good but nothing I would go out if my way for. The sandwiches and sides are a lot more attractive than the pizza. Service is always good and the store is always clean.

Oh no! What HAPPENED to you!? I recall your sandwiches as being so tasty, your corned beef and pastrami as being so juicy, when I lived within walking distance of your cousin on Bell. Number 19 on onion roll, please! Yeah! Lunch of champions, y'all! You, 105th and Metcalf location, are but a shell of your Bell Street cousin's glory. Your cousin herself is, for that matter, also just a shell of her own former glory; but I'm not here to talk about her. I'm here to talk about you. Your pastrami is dried out and practically inedible. Your corned beef? For shame! Dry crumbles! Did you hear that? Dry crumbles! I can't even order by number. You have replaced your numbering system with an almost Subway-like ordering system. Why? To what end? I just don't understand you. On the upside, your pizza is still decent. That alone can't save you, though. I'm sorry.

Allegedly New York style pizza -- it doesn't quite have that greasy, fold-it-in-half thing going on, but it's still pretty good... very light sauce, lots of cheese, slightly crispy & flaky crust. I also had a mixed-green salad that was quite fresh, although their selection of salad dressings is boring. The Guy says the Reuben is good too, might have to try a sandwich next time.

My husband and I lived in St Louis for the last four years. In all of our time there we never found pizza we LOVED. We had certain go-to's that were good. D'Bronx pizza is so yummy! Because of the close proximity to our house, I really have to restrain myself. My husband is more of a pizza purist (only pepperoni, and once in a while, sausage AND pepperoni) but I love the toppings, and lots of them... D'Bronx special does not disappoint!! Sausage, pepperoni, BACON, MEATBALLS (sliced thin), mushrooms, onion, green peppers, black olives... I'm probably missing something, but oh man is this a great slice of pizza! Yes, I said slice! D'Bronx sells pizza by the slice, which is another reason I love this place. As you can see above, I need an option like this since I have an uber picky mate. He gets a pizza, I get a slice. The slices are HUGE triangle slices, and with the D'Bronx special toppings, it usually only takes one! :) We went to the downtown KC location when we came to visit. It does have more charm and character, but I feel that they have kept the quality of the pizza the same. (Which is the most important factor for me.) The dining room in OP is nice. Lots of wood work, old pics. Nice! If you're looking for a great slice of pizza (or the whole pie) give this spot a try!!

Haven't tried the pizza -- there are lots of places to get that. I've stopped in a few times for their pretty decent Reuben sandwich, made on kind of thick rye bread with plenty of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing. It's not the best Reuben I've ever had, but it's good and there aren't as many places as you'd think serving them these days! The sandwich is reasonably priced but comes only with a slice of pickle. Sides are extra. I've had the potato salad and the Israeli chopped salad and both were fine.

DW and I stopped back at d'Bronx on a Friday night as we were doing some shopping in the area. We decided to try the pizza this time. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were able to place our order quickly. We ordered a pizza with canadian bacon and fresh roma tomato slices along with a couple of side salads. We found a place to sit and our salads came out pretty quickly. DW ordered salad without onion and black olive, but hers did have black olives so back it went. They got a new one out very fast and all was good. Since it was busy it took about 20 minutes for the pizza which they let us know up front. I don't think it took 20 minutes to get the pizza, but we really weren't watching the clock. The pizza was excellent! The crust was nice and crisp all the way to the center. The canadian bacon was diced into small strips which worked well too. We were only able to eat a couple slices each and got boxes to take the rest home. The left-overs heated up well and were just as tasty after a couple days in the fridge. This is some of the best pizza I've had in the area we will be coming back for some more.

I had to go out south today, unfortunately there isn't a Nordstrom downtown. I like the D'Bronx on 39th street, so I decide to check out the new one at 105th. It is located in this old ugly strip mall, but inside it is pristine and feels clean. There seems to be more organization at this location. I really wanted the pizza, but opted for the turkey club. I have had the turkey club before and it is still good. What I didn't like is that they give you the glass of ice, then you go fill your glass. That would be fine, except I usually drink tea and as soon as it hits my cup the ice melts. There were other people asking for glasses of ice, but it seemed like it was an ordeal for them to give you one. They also had the air conditioning turned on and I was just too cold to finish my sandwich. I just had to get outside-which was actually warmer at 50 degrees! Overall, it was decent. The temperature thing could have been a fluke and I know to ask for an extra glass of ice. The food was good as usual.

The food may be good, but their ordering process not so good. They could simplify the ordering by creating a number system like other order at the counter restaurants. The girl taking orders must be actually from New York, but that attitude doesn't work here in the Midwest. I won't come back.
